  We just spent the night as we needed to stop from travelling from Zion National Park back to our home in Minnesota. The rooms are nothing fancy, but it was CLEAN, and the beds/bedding looked new, the walls looked freshly painted, and carpet looked new. It's not a 5-star hotel, but a 5-star review.

  Beds were uncomfortable. My husband had to vacate the room after about 2 hrs for reasons I would rather not discuss. However the staff was pleasant.

  Heat doesn't work and ROOMS ARE FREEZING!!! DO NOT stay here in winter. It was zero degrees farenheit when I got a room here with 3 small children. WE FROZE. The heater was broken. We left early and I asked for a refund. I was told they don't give refunds. We couldn't use the shower because it was so cold in the room. The four of us (myself, and my 10, 4, and 3, year olds) took the blankets from both beds and bundled all 4 of us into one bed, kept our hats and coats on, and shivered together until we couldn't take it anymore and got in our car and left. At least our car was heated! The employees did not care. I spoke with the owner for a long time on the phone and he did not care. He kept talking about his costs and his money. He did not care whatsoever that he put a bunch of small children in a freezing room when the weather was zero degrees. He tried to tell me that I dont know how to turn a heater on and that was the problem. Then he told me I should have known it was going to be cold because it's a brick building. What a scam artist. I drive back and forth between Iowa and Colorado all the time and will never be stopping here again. Avoid this place.

  If you haven't stayed at this property in the last few months, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the changes that have taken place under the new ownership. When I stayed here in March 2016, the rooms were pretty spartan. The new owners had just taken over management. My current stay, June 15th, is a totally different experience. The rooms now have micros/mini-fridges, some of the furnishings have been replaced, and best of all, the full service on-site restaurant is now open and the food is very good. This is important in Julesburg; the only other dining option is Subway. The new owners are very gracious and welcoming. Is it a five star facility, no, but for the price range it definitely merits the rating in my well traveled book.

  I was passing through tonight and the freeway was closed and the weather was awful. I stayed here and was offered great customer service and was given a discount. Upon entering the room, not only was it clean, but it was warm!! The heater was on before we got there which shows that they care about the customer too. Would reccomend and stay again.
